Testival Meetup #43
Introduction (about 10 minutes total)
At the beginning of every meetup, we like to get to know each other a bit better. Don’t be shy and prepare to say a sentence or two about yourself.
Regular talks (10-30 minutes each)
#1 Kresimir Linke (Repsly): Rapid Software Testing workshop - brief and lessons learned retrospective by attendees of the workshop.
The idea behind Michael Bolton’s RST workshop brief is to point out what are the most valuable lessons learned on the RST workshop. The retrospective part includes a short discussion by workshop attendees in an attempt to find the answers on questions - how to include exploratory sessions in their everyday practice, how to find the optimal balance between testing and checking…
#2 Michael Schweighofer (Ranorex): The same old story in UI automation and why 2019 might bring a change
New frameworks every month, new tools every year. And still, we struggle with the same core challenges in UI test automation as we did years ago. What answers will 2019 bring? Join and find out.
#3 Davor Banovic (KING ICT): Thinking outside of the toolbox
With a little bit of theory and a lot of practical examples, we will shed some light on two typical testers’ challenges. First is how to organize our work to spend most of our time for creative exploration while creatively using the tools to prepare the test data in the least time possible. The second challenge we will discuss is how to think “outside of the toolbox” - how to prevent the tools to blur out our creativity.
